This poem is inspired by my blog post ‘Healing in the Wild: Discovering Natures Transformative Power‘. You can find the full post here:

Step outside, let silence speak,
Where wind and earth in stillness meet.
The rustling leaves, the golden skies,
Wash heavy thoughts and hurried lives.
A breath of air, a trail ahead,
Where worries pause and peace is spread.
The sun breaks through in dappled light,
And burdens slowly turn to flight.
The wild invites a quiet grace,
A healing held in nature’s face.
Not just escape—but soft repair,
A rooted calm, beyond compare.
The call of birds, a distant stream,
Revive the heart, recall the dream.
In bark and breeze and ocean mist,
Lies presence you forgot exists.
You feel the pulse of something more,
A world untouched by daily war.
Each tree, each cloud, each blade of grass,
Reflects a truth too deep to pass.
So walk awhile with open hands,
Let nature teach what life demands.
To slow, to breathe, to simply be—
This is the wild’s quiet decree.
And when you leave, its gift remains—
A softened soul, unknotted chains.
For though you part, you’re not apart—
The wild still beats within your heart.
